Daniel A. Testa III

Attorney Daniel Testa began his legal career with the Cayuga County Attorney’s Office, where he worked for nearly 12 years. In that role, he gained invaluable courtroom experience and enjoyed serving his community. The most satisfying aspect of his work was getting to help people, and he realized that he wanted to create a law practice dedicated to the legal needs of his neighbors in Auburn and the surrounding communities. He opened Testa Law Firm, P.C. on a full-time basis in 2016.

Since then, Dan has devoted his practice to the legal services many people need at some point in their lives, including real estate, estate planning, family law, and bankruptcy. Though much of his work involves legal transactions, he views the practice of law as relational, not transactional. Dan wants to be his clients’ family lawyer: the person they trust to call first when they have a legal question or concern, knowing that he will help them or connect them with someone who can.

Dan is known as a problem-solver, respected by colleagues and clients alike for his calm, unflappable approach to practice. He understands that even a legal matter that he has handled dozens of times may be a once-in-a-lifetime event to his client. He gives every client, and every legal issue, the focused attention they deserve. Dan enjoys meeting with his clients, and wants them to leave the office with the confidence their legal matter is manageable and in good hands.

Outside of work, Dan spends much of his time with family, including his wife Amy and their three children. When not keeping busy with their children’s sports and activities, Dan and Amy enjoy traveling, dining out, and relaxing at home.
